She is the newly appointed 2nd flute in the Harrisburg Symphony, and the flutist for the iconic revival of CHESS on Broadway. She is the flutist for Quintet of the Americas, and regularly freelances in the tri-state area, including Wicked on Broadway. She has worked as a professional consultant for the television series Mozart in the Jungle. She recorded flute and piccolo for the NBC television broadcast of A Very Wicked Halloween to celebrate the Broadway production’s 15th year anniversary. In December 2022, she performed on stage at the Broadhurst Theatre for a one night concert of the Broadway show Chess to benefit the Entertainment Community Fund. Internationally, she was chosen to perform as a soloist in Nice, France, at the Nice Academy of Music. Each summer she travels to Austria to perform with the AIMS Festival Orchestra, additionally holding the position of Assistant Orchestra Manager. Kim integrates her passion for social activism by organizing and performing solo recitals to highlight a variety of issues facing our current political climate, with all proceeds benefitting the ACLU. Kim earned her Master of Music degree from New York University and her Bachelor of Music degree from The College of New Jersey. She directs a flute ensemble and maintains a private teaching studio. In her spare time, Kim enjoys long distance running, and has completed 12 half marathons and the 2017 and 2023 NYC marathons.
